All right, let’s turn to today’s topic: whether stronger pheromones are better.
This is a question we often get when talking to customers. Someone will call or write us and ask: “What’s the strongest pheromone you have?” These customers probably think they’re really asking: “What’s the best pheromone you have?” And it makes sense: most people would assume that a stronger and more potent pheromone is a higher-quality product and a better investment.
But here’s the thing: stronger is not always better when it comes to pheromones. Very strong pheromones may work wonders for some people, but for others, wearing a very strong pheromone will actually lead to bad effects. These bad effects can include unpleasant odors, suspicious or outright aggressive behavior from others, and a general sense of agitation for the wearer and those around them. Not exactly the effects you’re looking for when you’re on a date or trying to attract someone, right?
First, let’s clarify what we mean by “strong” pheromone. A strong pheromone is one with intense, potentially aggressive effects. In this sense, the strongest pheromone you’ll find in our pheromone products is AndrosteNONE, the “alpha” pheromone that is a byproduct of your body’s production of testosterone. This pheromone is very potent and very sexual, and can give the wearer a dominant, confident aura–but can also make the wearer seem overbearing, aggressive, or confrontational. Using a little AndrosteNONE can make you into a sexually magnetic and confident alpha. Using too much will turn you into someone that everyone wants to either avoid or chase away.
So, when a male customer asks us, “What’s your strongest pheromone for men?” the answer will be Primal Instinct for Men. This product contains only the sex pheromone AndrosteNONE. It has no other pheromone ingredients. So a lot of men would assume that this is the best choice for them–it’s the strongest pheromone, so obviously it’s the best, right?
Not necessarily. For many men, especially young men who are in their sexual prime, the concentration of AndrosteNONE in Primal Instinct is simply too high. It will combine with the natural pheromones that you’re already producing and result in a pheromone overdose. Men of all ages who are naturally very confident, or who are physically large, will probably also find that Primal Instinct’s high AndrosteNONE content makes them appear overbearing and intimidating–which is the opposite of what you’re going for when you wear a pheromone.
Does all this mean that Primal Instinct is never a good choice for our male customers? Not at all! Some people, such as older men or men with naturally low testosterone levels, can see great benefits from wearing a product that is high in AndtosteNONE. The issue is that a stronger pheromone is not always better. For most men, the strongest pheromone is usually not the best choice.
So, what should you ask instead when you give us a call or start a search for a new pheromone product? If stronger isn’t the best, what is the best?
You probably already know that best pheromone for someone depends a lot on what that person whats the pheromone to do, and that natural differences in body chemistry, personality, and a range of other factors means that the best pheromone for one person might not be the best pheromone for someone else. But there are definitely some general guidelines you can follow when choosing a pheromone to experiment with.
Our advice: look for something balanced.
A balanced pheromone product is usually one that contains multiple pheromone ingredients, all of them with different effects, which work together to improve the other ingredients in the bottle. Let’s use Primal Instinct as a point of comparison. If Primal Instinct isn’t a great choice for most men because it only contains one very strong pheromone, what’s a better option for men who want something with similar (but improved) effects? Let’s take a quick look at some examples!
ALTERNATIVE #1: ALPHA-7
Alpha-7 was actually designed for men who find that strong, AndrosteNONE-only formulas are not a good fit for them. While it does contain a high concentration of AndrosteNONE, the Alpha-7 formula also contains an additional sex pheromone, AndrosteRONE. AndrosteRONE, like AndrosteNONE, increases confidence and respectability; unlike AndtosteNONE, it does not have aggressive side effects. When the two are combined, the milder effects of the AndrosteRONE can balance and smooth out the rough edges of AndrosteNONE. This results in a more versatile, balanced product that gives the same benefits of Primal Instinct but carries a lower risk of unpleasant side effects.
Alpha-7 should still be used in moderation–one or two drops is more than enough for most men–but overall it has better results for most men who are looking for a strong, sexual product.
ALTERNATIVE #2: NEW PHEROMONE ADDITIVE FOR MEN
The New Pheromone Additive (NPA) for Men is also a product that contains AndrosteNONE, but at a lower concentration than Primal Instinct. It also has the added benefit of the “icebreaker” social pheromone AndrosteNOL (one of the most versatile pheromones out there) and the sexual/romantic pheromone AndrostaDIENONE. AndrosteNOL is a magnetic, un-intimidating pheromone that makes the wearer appear more friendly, more laidback, and more approachable–perfect for occasions when you’re wanting to get to know someone. AndrostaDIENONE elevates the mood, improves cooperation, and makes people (especially sexual partners) more attentive to each other. All these beneficial effects provide a helpful counterbalance that prevents the AndrosteNONE from making the wearer appear overbearing or intimidating.
The highly balanced NPA for Men formula makes it a good choice for men who want something that is on the sexual end of the pheromone spectrum but don’t want anything too intense.
ALTERNATIVE #3: CHIKARA FOR MEN
Chikara is our most popular men’s product. (Alpha-7 is a close second.) It contains a complex, balanced formula of seven different sex pheromones. The primary ingredients are the strong sex pheromone AndrosteNONE, the social icebreaker AndrosteNOL, and the confidence-boosting AndrosteRONE. The versatile, socially dynamic effects of the AndrosteNOL and the mild “alpha” effects of the AndrosteRONE keep the powerful AndrosteNONE in check, with the end result being a formula that boosts confidence and magnetism without intimidating or agitating others.
This highly balanced range of effects make Chikara a pheromone product that can be worn anywhere, all day, and on any occasion. It doesn’t have the potent sexual effects of Primal Instinct or Alpha-7, but, for many men, that’s actually a very good thing! If highly sexual AndrosteNONE-based products haven’t had good results for you, something more balanced and versatile like Chikara is probably just what you need.
Those are some ready-made alternatives to something strong like Primal Instinct. There are other potent products in our catalog with their own good alternatives, but we hope this set of specific comparisons will give you a good idea of what to look for if you’re trying to avoid something too strong: look for a balanced product that contains multiple different pheromones that have a different set of benefits and effects. (An example for women: if the potent Love Scent Copulin Concentrate is too much for you or your partner, you can try Primal Women, which contains copulins and AndrosteNOL.)
You can also combine different pheromone products to create a balanced mix of your own. A popular combination is Chikara and Alpha-7; you could also combine NPA for Men with one of the Love Scent Pheromone Oils, or Alpha-7 with Super Primal for Him.
Keep in mind, too, that you don’t have to use a strong sex pheromone like AndrosteNONE at all, even if attracting a sexual partner is the main reason you’re wearing pheromones. For many pheromone users, a product that only contains a social pheromone like AndrosteNOL can be more beneficial than a product that contains a potent sex pheromone. A large part of sexually attracting someone is showing them that you’re a person that they’d like to get to know better and spend time with, and you don’t necessarily need sex pheromones do to that. If you’re already very sexually attractive and confident, sometimes avoiding the sex pheromones altogether is the more successful route.
We know that this is a lot of information and a lot to take in. Just remember to keep this main thing in mind: stronger is not always better. When in doubt, look for a balanced product. And when the products you instinctively chose aren’t working out, don’t hesitate to go for a less-obvious, less-conventional choice. You might end up being pleasantly surprised by what mild or non-sexual pheromones can do for you.
That’s all for this week, Love Scent fans! Once again, we wish all the fathers in the Love Scent family a very happy Father’s Day!
