5 Steps To Using Pheromones Effectively

Happy weekend, Love Scenters!  Before you go out to clubs, bars, dates, or where ever you plan on using pheromones, you should be sure that you know how to use them effectively.  It’s important that you experiment and figure out the best ways to use them for yourself, but there are a few universal steps that almost any pheromone user should follow.  Read on to learn about these steps and how you can apply them to your own pheromone use.

Step 1: Shower First

Pheromone products can be very effective, but it’s important to remember that all humans also produce their own pheromones, in particular through our sweat.  When you have lingering sweat and body odor and you add pheromone products on top of that, they can mix in undesirable ways and turn people off when you get close to them.  Showering before wearing pheromones ensures that you’re working with a clean slate, allowing you to know exactly whether or not your pheromone products are doing their job.

Advanced users may find that small amounts of their own sweat can enhance the pheromone effect when wearing pheromone products, and there are special showering techniques that can allow you smell fresh while still keeping some natural pheromones around.  However, beginners or anyone trying out new pheromone products should definitely shower first and scrub the sweat away.

Step 2: Apply Pheromones To The Right Places

There are many places you can apply pheromone effectively, but the easiest places to try are your wrists and neck.  Apply your pheromones and any added fragrance to the insides of your wrists, then dab your wrists against your neck, right under your cheek bone.  These places are the most common places that people apply normal cologne, and they’re great for pheromones too.

If you’d like to try out a few more places, check out our post on the subject, which goes into much more detail on the different places you can apply pheromones.

Step 3: Don’t Overdose!

The absolute worst thing you can do when wearing pheromones is use too much.  “Overdosing” on pheromones means applying too much, which can cause opposite effects to the ones that pheromones normally give.  Too much pheromones can make other people aggressive towards you, or even make them not want to be anywhere near you.

This is especially important when using androstenone based products, because to most people androstenone smells like bad body odor.  Further complicating the issue is the fact that some people can’t smell androstenone at all, and some other people think that androstenone has a nice, vanilla-like scent.  This may seem like a good thing, since some people wouldn’t notice if you were wearing to much androstenone.  However, the people that do smell it will be turned off from you immediately if you are wearing too much.  Also, if you are one of the people that doesn’t smell androstenone, you will have a harder time telling if you are wearing too much.  Before using pheromone products, give them a smell, and if you can’t smell anything make sure that you start with small amounts and work your way up.

Most products will have a recommended dosage on the bottle, but if you need some advice, feel free to contact us and we’ll help you out.  You can also ask other users about how they use specific pheromones through forums like PheroLibrary and PheroTruth.  Both have active communities willing to help you out.

Step 4: When Using Unscented Pheromones, Cover Them With A Fragrance

Most unscented pheromone products contain at least a little bit of androstenone, which can have an unpleasant smell.  When using unscented pheromone products, make sure to start with small dosages and cover them with a fragrance that you like.  It’s even OK to combine unscented pheromones with scented pheromone products, just make sure that you don’t use too much.  For most products, start with a drop or dab of unscented pheromones, then spray over them one or two times with a fragrance or scented pheromone.

Step 5: Act Friendly And Approachable

Sometimes pheromone products can make you a little intimidating, especially if you are a man.  Many pheromone products impart “alpha” qualities on the user, and even though that will attract a lot of people, those same people might not ever come up to you if you don’t put off a friendly, approachable vibe.  Make sure to smile and don’t be aggressive.  Pheromones will help you break the ice and gain peoples trust, but you have to be aware that they will never be 100 percent effective.  To make them as effective as possible, you need to be willing to approach others first and be as friendly as you can without being creepy.
