Every summer, we get questions from pheromone fans on how to use pheromones when the weather heats up. Don’t worry–the answers aren’t complicated!

One common question: does heat damage pheromones? For example, if you accidentally leave your favorite pheromones in a hot car for a few hours, will the pheromones “break down” and be ruined? The good news: the pheromones will be completely fine! The bad news: other ingredients in the bottle might not be fine. Alcohol in the carrier might have evaporated out, and fragrance compounds might turn rancid. So we don’t recommend leaving these products in hot cars! Keep them in a bag or pocket instead.

Another common question: do pheromones work as well in hot weather? For example, do pheromones have a harder time doing their thing when you’re at a hot summer cookout instead of inside an air-conditioned coffee shop? And another one we hear a lot: do some pheromones work better in hot weather than others? Well, like we said above, you’ll want to consider your natural pheromones more during the hot months.
