All right, on to today’s topic! We’re once again headed back to basics, and this time we’re learning about pheromone mixing!

Let’s get started!

WHAT IS PHEROMONE MIXING?

First up: what is pheromone mixing? It’s just what it sounds like: mixing different pheromones together. In this case, we mean different pheromone products, rather than individual pheromone molecules. (Most pheromone products already have multiple pheromone molecules in them.) By mixing different products together, you can create a custom mix that meets your exact needs!

So, why mix pheromones at all? Well, there are a few reasons!

First, pheromone mixing expands the number of pheromones you can try. If a product like Alpha-7 Unscented is too strong for you, you can try combining it with a social pheromone (like the Love Scent Pheromone Oils) to balanced out its rough edges. This lets you experience the benefits of Alpha-7 without experiencing any bad side effects!

Second, pheromone mixing lets you customize pheromones to your exact needs. If you haven’t found a pheromone that works well for you, or have a favorite that only works most of the time, you can mix it with other pheromones to enhance its best qualities. You’ll end up covering all your bases and getting the best experience!

And third, it’s just plain fun! Experimenting with different pheromones helps you discover all they have to offer, and you can have a good time while you learn. Who knows: maybe you’ll discover the exact pheromone formula you’ve been looking for all along!

Does all that sound good? Great! Before you get started, you’ll need to ask yourself two questions:

  1. What do I want pheromones to do for me?
  2. Which pheromones are the best for my goals?

By knowing what you want pheromones to do, and knowing which pheromones are the best for the task, you’ll know which products you’ll want to include in your mixes. You can learn about the different pheromone molecules, and what they can do for you, in our Pheromone Focus series. Once you know what the individual pheromones do, you can choose products that contain the ones that will meet your needs!

Once you’ve got your list of products to try, you can start mixing! Let’s look into that process now.

HOW DO YOU MIX PHEROMONES?

So, you’ve decided that you’d like to mix pheromones, and know which ones you’d like to mix together. How, exactly, do you go about mixing them?

Well, you have two options!

First, you can just apply both pheromones at the same time. This is the easiest and most straightforward option. Apply one product to your pulse points, wait for it to dry, and apply another on top of it! You can apply as many products as you want this way.

Second, you can mix the pheromones directly together. We don’t recommend doing this with products you’ve never used before, because you probably won’t need equal proportions of each. Try the first method for a while until you get a sense of how much of each product you’ll need. (For example, if you’re mixing NPA and the Love Scent Pheromone Oils, 2 parts Love Scent Pheromone Oils to 1 part NPA might be the best for you.) Once you’ve got the right proportions, you can make a larger batch and store it in a separate container!

Which option is best? Well, neither is better than the other, really! They’re both perfectly good ways to mix pheromones. The first involves less experimentation, and doesn’t require extra supplies. The second is more involved, but comes with the eventual convenience of having the perfect mix all ready to go–just spray on the blend and head out the door!

In short, whichever method you choose is totally up to you! Both give you all the benefits of pheromone mixing.

Now that you know what pheromone mixing is and how to go about it, let’s take a look at what you’ll need!

WHAT SUPPLIES DO YOU NEED?

If you’re going to try out pheromone mixing, and plan to just apply a few different pheromones at once, there’s really only one thing you need: multiple pheromones. That’s it! That’s all you need to get started.

If you want to try out some more advanced mixing techniques, though, here are some other things you might need:

Pocket Atomizers

Atomizers and Roll-Ons

Atomizers and roll-ons will come in handy if you’re mixing the actual pheromones into one another rather than just applying them at the same time. These separate containers let you get the right proportions you need. For example, if you’ve discovered that you need 2 parts of Love Scent Pheromone Oils to 1 part NPA for Men, you can add 2 ml of your chosen Pheromone Oils fragrance option and 1 ml of NPA to a roll-on bottle. Now your custom mix is ready to go whenever you need it!

One thing to keep in mind: atomizers work well for alcohol-based, thin formulas, and roll-ons work better for oil-based, thick formulas. Choose the right container for your mix to cut down on mess and keep things as convenient as possible!

Shahana GoldCover Fragrances

If your pheromone mix doesn’t contain at least one scented formula, you’ll need a cover fragrance to go with it. Adding cover fragrances to a mix is the same as adding pheromones: you can either apply it separately, or mix the pheromones and fragrance together in an atomizer or roll-on.

The fragrance you choose is entirely up to you! You can go with a favorite, or something new that you think brings out the pheromones’ best qualities. You can also go with essential oils to naturally enhance the qualities of your mix!

ADVANCED OPTION: Pure Pheromones

If you’ve been working with pheromones for a while, know exactly what works for you, and have the time and curiosity needed to find the precise proportions of pheromones needed to meet your needs, pure pheromones are a DIY-er’s dream! These unscented pheromone products contain single pheromone molecules at a 1 mg/1 ml concentration. (This is the highest concentration possible if you want the product to remain stable!)

We recommend reading up on how to work with pure pheromones before getting started. Because these products are so highly concentrated, they’re not ideal for beginners. Even experts should take the time to research how to use pure pheromones before diving in. But once you’ve got the necessary knowledge, pure pheromones are your best bet for making a mix that meets your totally unique needs!

There you have it, Love Scent fans! Everything you need to know to get started with pheromone mixing.
