Now, on to today’s topic: copulins, the female sex pheromone!
The word “copulins” refers to a group of fatty acids secreted in the vagina. These acids are produced throughout the month, but they are produced at their highest levels during ovulation. In the animal kingdom, copulins serve as a signal from females to males that the female is ready to mate; in fact, the word “copulins” comes from the word “copulate,” a more technical term for sex.
Of course, human beings have developed more sophisticated courtship behaviors than other animals over our many years of evolution, but there is a lot of evidence that copulins still play a role in our sex lives and romantic lives. They are arguably the strongest female sex pheromone available, and play a central role in many pheromone perfumes designed to help women attract men.
Let’s take a look at some of the research into copulins, and then some products that will let you bring the power of copulins into your life!
Copulins were discovered in certain animals in the 1980s. In the 1990s, researchers found that copulins (a) existed in humans as well and (b) affected straight men’s perceptions of women. That early research also suggested that copulins might influence men’s natural hormone production, particularly their production of testosterone–a sex hormone that is closely related to sex drive.
The influence of copulins on straight men’s hormones was confirmed in later research: men who were exposed to copulins collected on pads worn by ovulating women had higher testosterone levels present in their saliva after exposure. (Men also had higher testosterone levels after smelling ovulating women’s sweat, but the changes were more distinct and prolonged in men exposed to copulins.) This suggested that copulins play a role in stimulating men’s sexual desire.
In addition to simply increasing straight men’s sexual desire, copulins also affect how straight men feel about their partners and potential partners. Research found that, under the influence of these pheromones, men found women more attractive and were more likely to mimic women’s body language (a subconscious strategy to get someone to like you and feel comfortable around you by showing them that you are in tune with their emotions and thoughts) and were more likely to demonstrate what behaviorists call “mate-guarding” behavior–that is, behavior designed to encourage a partner to stay in a relationship, and discourage others from getting into a relationship with your partner.
Copulins also have a variety of self-effects for men and women alike. Men who are exposed to copulins feel more attractive to women, and women feel more sexually attractive to men. Men are also more willing to take risks when under the influence of copulins, which can be helpful for men who struggle with shyness or self-confidence in their dating and sex lives.
Overall, copulins are a potent and very effective female sex pheromone, at least for women who want to attract men. (Women who are interested in attracting other women have mixed results when using copulins, but often have great success with another female sex pheromone, Estratetraenol.)
The many effects of copulins have made them a popular ingredient in women’s sexual pheromone formulas, and even in some formulas designed for men. Of course, copulins are not the only pheromones that help women attract others sexually, but their potency and distinctive effects on men’s emotions have made them many women’s go-to female sex pheromone.
Now that you understand how copulins work, let’s take a look at how to incorporate them into your pheromone collection! We have options that include only copulins, as well as options that mix copulins with other pheromones for a more well-rounded end product. Here are your choices!
1. Mistress Pheromones for Women (starting at $9.95)
Mistress is one of our most popular products for women. It combines copulins with the gentler female sex pheromone Estratetraenol for a versatile, multilayered pheromone experience. Women who wear Mistress find that their partners show greater sexual interest, emotional closeness, and overall attentiveness. It can be used by women in relationships with men as well as women in relationships with women.
Mistress is already scented with a striking herbal cover fragrance, so it does not need to be combined with a perfume. Apply to the pulse points.
You can try Mistress Pheromones for Women with the 1 ml trial-size Mistress Mini for $9.95, or the full-size 10 ml Mistress roll-on for $48.95. If you’re looking for a female sex pheromone with a strong emotional effect as well, this is the choice for you!
2. Primal Women (starting at $14.95)
Primal Women is another popular product that combines multiple pheromones for a more well-rounded end result. In this case, the formula combines copulins with the social “icebreaker pheromone” AndrosteNOL, which works with the emotional and behavioral centers of the brain to elevate the mood, reduce stress, improve social interactions, and boost romantic interest. This versatile product works very well at any stage in a relationship.
Primal Women is unscented, but the copulin content gives it a distinctive odor that most people find unpleasant on its own. We therefore highly recommend combining Primal Women with your favorite cover fragrance. You can add it right to your favorite perfume (try a 3-to-1 ratio of perfume to pheromones to start with, and adjust as needed to see the desired results), or apply 1-2 drops of Primal Women to your pulse points and spray your chosen scent over it.
3. Love Scent Copulin Concentrate ($24.95)
If you’re looking for a way to add copulins to your favorite perfume or pheromone blend, our own Love Scent Copulin Concentrate could be exactly what you need. It contains only copulins in a cosmetic DPG oil base. It can be added to perfumes, body sprays, essential oil blends, scented pheromones, unscented pheromones, custom DIY pheromone blends, and more. If you’re just interested in the power of copulins, this is the best way to bring this powerful female sex pheromone into your pheromone collection.
One word of warning to those who want to experiment with pure copulins: they are extremely smelly. Some people describe the odor as sickeningly sweet; others call it similar to cheese or vinegar; others call it overwhelmingly sour. Very few people find it pleasant unless it is heavily diluted and paired with a fragrance, so make sure to use a cover scent with it and only use a small amount at a time. We recommend starting with a single drop in several milliliters of your favorite perfume, and adjusting as needed. Be prepared to experiment!
A 3.7 ml bottle of Love Scent Copulin Concentrate is yours for $24.95. A little goes a long way, so this bottle will last you for a very long time! Order now!
4. Arome de Femme ($59.95)
Arome de Femme is a French-inspired copulin-infused perfume. It is ideal for women who want to add copulins to their pheromone collection, but don’t want to fuss with diluting a powerful concentrate or finding a cover fragrance to pair them with. Arome de Femme is easy to use and very effective; just apply it as you would apply any other perfume, and let the copulins work their wonders on the men around you.
Arome de Femme’s cover fragrance includes notes of musk and vanilla paired with florals. It covers the copulins nicely while enveloping you in a classic fragrance. Apply 1-2 sprays to the pulse points.
A 15 ml bottle of Arome de Femme is yours for $59.95. If you’re looking for a classic perfume infused with a potent female sex pheromone, this is a good choice for you! Try it today!
5. Attrakt for Her ($69.95)
Attrakt for Her combines two potent ingredients with a feminine cover fragrance to create an emotionally-charged, confidence-boosting, highly effective female sex pheromone. The formula pairs copulins with the same social hormone found in the ever-popular Liquid Trust–a hormone that strengthens bonds between people, including romantic and sexual partners, by fostering emotional and physical intimacy. It’s a great choice for women who want to improve the sexual and psychological bonds in their romantic relationships.
Attrackt for Her already contains a cover fragrance, so no additional perfume is necessary. Apply 1-2 sprays to the pulse points, and an additional spray around the neck to benefit from the self-effects.
A large 1 oz spray bottle of Attrakt for Her is $69.95. That’s a lot of pheromones for the price, so order now!
