Now, on to today’s topic: the next installment in our “Pheromone How-To” series. This week, we’ll be talking about using pheromones effectively! This is an important topic for pheromone newbies and pros alike. So, whether you just got into pheromones and need to know how exactly to use them, or have been using them for a while but aren’t sure you’re getting the most out of them, this post is for you!

If you want to learn about using pheromones effectively, read on!

STEP ONE: THE RIGHT AMOUNT

One of the most important parts of using pheromones effectively is simply using the right amount. That said, “the right amount” will depend on a few factors, and sometimes it can take a few rounds of using a pheromone before you find the right “dose” for you.

Why is using the right amount so important? Well, depending on the type of pheromone, using too much can backfire on you. Strong sex pheromones can make you seem sexy, alluring, and confident at the right dosage, but will make you seem overbearing, aggressive, and rude if you use too much.

Using too little, of course, can also lead to poor results. If you don’t use enough of a particular pheromone for it to have an effect on others, you might as well have not worn it at all!

So how can you choose the right amount? First, be aware of those factors that determine the right amount for you. Those factors include:

  • THE TYPE OF PHEROMONE: Sex pheromones have more potent and aggressive effects than social pheromones. One drop of AndrosteNONE will have very different effects than one drop of AndrosteNOL. If you use too much AndrosteNONE, you’ll chase people away, but if you use too much AndrosteNOL, you’ll just burn through your AndrosteNOL faster than necessary. Research the pheromone you’re using and follow the recommended dosages for best results!
  • YOUR BODY CHEMISTRY: Did you know that you’re naturally producing your own pheromones right now? Did you know that the amount of pheromones you naturally produce can vary depending on age, diet, or even how much sleep you’ve been getting? This will affect the amount of supplemental pheromones you need! If you’re young, well-rested, and have a diet rich in foods that increase natural pheromones, you’re going to need a smaller dose to see the same effects as someone else!
  • THE CONTEXT: Sometimes, choosing the right amount of pheromones is as simple as thinking about where you’re going to be wearing them. One drop of AndrosteNONE, for example, is probably a great idea for a romantic anniversary date. But one drop of AndrosteNONE during a budget meeting at work can make for a very bad workday. The right place can be just as important as the right amount!

All right, you’ve considered all these factors. How do you apply them to actually choosing the right amount? Well, a good general rule is “less is usually more.” Starting with a smaller dose, and only using more when you’re sure you need it, is a great way to ensure you’re using pheromones effectively!

STEP TWO: THE RIGHT APPLICATION POINT

Now that we’ve covered how much of a pheromone to wear, let’s cover where on the body to actually wear them! This is also a critical part of using pheromones effectively. Choosing a good application point can be the difference between success and failure.

The best application points for pheromones are the pulse points. “Pulse points” are anywhere your veins run close to the skin, i.e. where you can feel your pulse.

Pulse points are great application points because they act as natural diffusers. The skin is slightly warmer in these areas, and that sends scent particles into the air to circulate. Perfumers have recommended the pulse points for many centuries. Their knowledge applies to pheromones, too!

The pulse points include:

  • THE WRISTS: If you’ve ever been to the doctor, chances are the nurse took your pulse by pressing their fingers to your wrist. That’s because the wrist is one of the easiest pulse points to find! The veins are very close to the skin here. Apply a drop of pheromones to one wrist and gently rub your wrists together!
  • THE THROAT: The throat is also an easy pulse point to find. You have big arteries there, running close to the surface of the skin. Apply a dab of pheromones to each side of the throat!
  • BEHIND THE EARS: The skin behind your ears is also a natural pulse point. You can put a dab of pheromones on your finger and rub it gently on the skin right behind your ear.
  • CROOK OF ARMS: While less common than the wrists, the crooks of your arms are also a useful pulse point. Many people like to put pheromones and fragrances here in addition to the more common pulse points. This helps you diffuse even more pheromones into the air.
  • BACK OF KNEES: While the skin behind your knees might not seem like a logical spot for a fragrance, some people swear by it! This is a good additional application point if you want to create a sort of pheromone cloud around you.

Putting pheromones on your pulse points ensures they go out into the air. People can’t be affected by pheromones if the pheromones never reach them! Luckily, you have many pulse points to choose from! We recommend using more than one pulse point at a time for best results.

STEP THREE: THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE

One point we’ve made again and again here at Love Scent: pheromones are not the “magic potions” that pop culture makes them out to be. They’re not irresistible mind-controlling substances or supernatural love elixirs. They are tools, and while they are incredibly useful and effective tools, they ideally won’t be the only tool in your kit. Understanding this is a key point of using them effectively!

Now, like all tools, pheromones need to be handled properly to work their best. Some key parts of handling them properly are:

  • BE CONFIDENT: If you’re not sure people are getting a whiff of your pheromones, take matters into your own hands! Ask your crush how they like your new perfume or cologne, and hold out your wrist or offer up your neck for them to have a good smell. This will not just give them a taste of your scent…it will give them a nice dose of pheromones, too!
  • BE PERSISTENT: Many seasoned pheromone users have found that they need to try a certain pheromone more than once to see good results. This is because people might be more or less receptive to pheromones depending on factors that are outside your control–whether they’re having a good day, whether they feel comfortable enough to let their guard down, and so on. If a pheromone doesn’t work on the first try, keep trying! You’ll be glad you did.
  • BE FLEXIBLE: Using pheromones effectively sometimes means using them in multiple contexts. Lots of people assume they’ll use pheromones the most often in bars, clubs, and gyms, but sometimes you’ll have better luck using them one quiet coffee dates or casual walks around town. Keep an open mind about the best places to use them. You may be surprised by when and where pheromones work best for you!

As you can see, a big part of using pheromones effectively is bringing all of yourself to the table! It’s not a matter of sitting back and letting the pheromones do the work. They’re tools, and you can easily learn how to use them!
