Customer Questions: Knowing When Pheromones Are Working

Happy Friday, Love Scent fans!

This week, we’d like to address a question we often get from customers, especially from those who are new to pheromones: how do you know when pheromones are working for you?

We often get this question as a follow-up to a previous question: “what’s the best pheromone for me?” As many of you know, the answer to the “best pheromone” question is “it depends!” Not only do different pheromones have different effects, but the same pheromone can work differently for different people. The results vary due to a long list of factors: your natural pheromone levels, your age, the type of people you’re attracted to, how responsive your partner or potential partner is to certain pheromones, and so on.

Because pheromones work differently for different people, we always recommend experimenting with pheromones for a while to see what works best for you, and offer a 60-day money-back guarantee to give you enough time to find the right pheromone. But where should you begin, and how can you tell if the pheromone you chose is the right one for you? Let’s take a look!

CHOOSING A PHEROMONE

While pheromones can definitely produce different results for different people, many pheromones produce similar (though not identical) results for a wide variety of people. It is therefore a good idea to read up on certain pheromones, and the effects they generally have for most people, when choosing a pheromone to experiment with.

You should also know what you want a pheromone to do for you before you start ordering products to experiment with. Are you a man looking for something that will attract women sexually, for example? Or are you a businessperson looking for something that you can wear to work to make yourself come across as friendly and approachable to your colleagues and clients? Or are you a woman looking to start a romantic relationship with another woman? Make sure you know what you want out of pheromones before you choose something to experiment with.

Once you’ve decided what you’re hoping pheromones will do for you, you can start exploring the different options. Again, we recommend reading up on certain pheromones and what they do, and starting with something with effects that match up with your pheromone goals.

Take Alpha-7, for example: this nicely balanced blend of two sex pheromones (AndrosteNONE and AndrosteRONE) does, generally speaking, help with sexual attraction and creating an aura of authority. It may not work perfectly in these ways for everyone, but it works well for the majority if people who wear it for those reasons. So, if you’re hoping to attract other people sexually, Alpha-7 is a good pheromone to start experimenting with.

Similarly, Liquid Trust, our most popular product, works for the majority of people who use it for its soothing, relaxing, mood-elevating effects. It does not work as an effective social lubricant for every single person who tries it, but it works for the majority of people who do. If you want something that will help you and those around you relax, either at home or at work or out with friends, Liquid Trust is one of the safest bets in our catalog.

To summarize: once you know what you’d like a pheromone to do for you, find a pheromone that advertises the effects you’re looking for. It might not work that way for you, but it probably will!

But how do you know if a pheromone is working? Let’s take a look at that!

JUDGING A PHEROMONE’S EFFECTS

So, you’ve thought about your pheromone goals, read up on different products, and bought a pheromone or two to experiment with. You put the recommended amount on your pulse points (wrists, throat, and behind the ear) and head out the door to see how well your new pheromones work.

Now, the big question: how do you know how well your new pheromones work?

The answer is in how other people respond to you when you’re wearing the pheromones.

Let’s say you’ve tried out Alpha-7 and are hoping that it will help you attract other people sexually. Should you expect people to walk right up to you and express their sexual interest outright? Well, you might see effects like that, but only if the people you’ve encountered are especially bold. Most people are more reserved and will be more subtle in their responses. You’ll be able to see those responses in their body language.

It’s best to have a good understanding of body language when experimenting with pheromones, but some quick basics are:

Positive signs:

  • Their body language mirrors yours
  • Their posture is “open” and their body is oriented towards yours
  • They’re not afraid to stand close to you
  • They make frequent eye contact
  • Their teeth show when they smile

Negative signs:

  • “Closed” body posture such as crossed legs or arms crossed over the chest
  • They turn their body away from yours
  • They avoid eye contact
  • Their hands are clasped or folded, or their fingers twitch
  • They fidget when you come close
  • Their lips are pursed or clenched closed

If someone is showing positive body language signs, great! If they’re showing negative signs, it’s best to back off. Pushing them too far is disrespectful, and it’s definitely not going to get you a date.

Also pay attention to a person’s conversational behavior. When conversing with someone, if they’re giving short (maybe even one-word) answers and frequently turning to talk to someone else, they’re probably not trying to play hard-to-get; they’re probably just not interested in you. They’re not trying to be rude, they’re just trying to respectfully disengage. In these cases, it’s best for you to follow their lead and disengage too. But if they’re smiling, laughing, and carrying on an animated conversation, they’re comfortable around you–so feel free to keep chatting them up!

Pay attention, too, to your own body language and behavior. Are you standing in a way that could come across as intimidating? Are you acting overbearing? Are you staring at someone or pushing them to be part of the conversation even when they’re clearly uncomfortable? If so, no matter how appealing your pheromones are, you might chase someone away rather than drawing them in. Pheromones are powerful tools, but they are tools, and they can’t do all the work for you–you have to make sure you’re giving them the best chance at success!

It can take some time to learn the ins-and-outs of body language, both reading someone else’s and making sure yours is inviting and appealing. But once you’re able to read people’s subtle behavioral cues, and know that you’re sending out the right cues yourself, you’ll be able to accurately judge how well your pheromones are working.

There’s one more thing you should keep in mind when trying to judge how well your pheromones are working: context.

PAY ATTENTION TO CONTEXT

There are two main contextual elements you should bear in mind when you’re experimenting with pheromones. The first is whether you’re wearing them in the right situation, and the second is the personality of the person you’re trying to attract.

Wearing pheromones in the right circumstances is a big factor in their success. Wearing a sexual pheromone to work, for example, probably won’t get you a lot of sexual attention–not necessarily because people aren’t affected by it, but because they know it’s not appropriate (and is often illegal) to flirt romantically or sexually in the workplace. So, even if you have a crush on a coworker, leave the sexual pheromones at home when you go to work. Save them for your private life.

The personality of the person you’re trying to attract is another big factor. While the body language and conversational behavior we discussed above are important indicators, they don’t always provide a clear-cut sign that someone is or isn’t interested in you. Negative body language could be a sign that someone is shy around strangers, or that they need more time to get to know someone before they can relax around them, or maybe that they’re just having a bad day. But if you want them to be more comfortable around you, you should respect their body language and leave them alone if they’re giving you negative signals. You can try again another time, especially if you know the person.

Now, if you’ve worn the right pheromone in the right situation several times and still aren’t getting the responses you want, and you know that the person is free to have a relationship with you if they want, it might be time to either try the pheromone with someone else or try a new pheromone altogether. The results you got from the first pheromone can tell you what to look for in the second. If people were intimidated by a strong sexual pheromone like Alpha-7, for example, you might want to try something more balanced (such as New Pheromone Additive) or socially-oriented (such as Liquid Trust) instead.

There you have it, Love Scent fans! We know this seems like a lot of information, but, in the end, it’s actually pretty simple: you know the pheromones are working if they help you have the interactions you hoped for with other people. You just need to learn how to judge people’s body language, and you’ll be able to judge the effectiveness of your new pheromones without much trouble!
