Now, on to today’s topic: the first installment in our “pheromone how-to” series! We’re kicking things off with a basic, but very important, subject: choosing a pheromone!
If you’ve never used pheromones before, or have been using them for a while but haven’t found the right fit yet, finding the right pheromone can seem like a tricky task. There are a lot of options out there, after all! All those choices mean that there is almost certainly a pheromone out there for you. But it can also be overwhelming when you’re looking for the right fit!
Whether you’re brand-new to pheromones, or have been using them but need help navigating the options, we’re here to take you through the process. So let’s get started!
1. FINDING THE RIGHT PHEROMONE TYPE
As some of you already know, pheromones fall broadly into two categories: sexual and social. When choosing a pheromone, it’s important to know the difference between the two!
Sexual pheromones are the pheromones most people think of when they hear “pheromones.” They’re often the most effective in increasing your sex appeal and attractiveness to others. They can also build self-confidence, perceived authority, and mental alertness. If you want something that will have these effects, sexual pheromones are for you!
One thing to keep in mind, though, is that sexual pheromones can have some side effects. AndrosteNONE, for example, can intimidate and agitate those around you. In most cases, this won’t happen if you use the right amount. (More on that later!) But, for some people, even small amounts of AndrosteNONE will be too strong. This can lead to lackluster results!
The other general type of pheromones, social pheromones, are less intense than sexual pheromones. This does not necessarily mean that they are less effective. But their effects tend to be less aggressive. They tend to make you more magnetic and appealing to others, and help create a calm and soothing atmosphere.
Social pheromones generally do not have bad side effects. It’s also very difficult (if not impossible) to use too much. Their soothing, relaxing effects make them great for use on their own, and in combination with sexual pheromones. If you accidentally use too much AndrosteNONE, for example, a social pheromone like AndrosteNOL can often “cancel out” the unpleasant side effects.
Now, sexual and social pheromones have some overlapping effects. Both AndrosteNONE and AndrosteNOL can help boost your confidence, for example. AndrosteNOL just tends to do it more gently, and without the possible side effects. Both of these pheromones can also draw attention to you. But AndrosteNONE does a much better job of boosting your sex appeal.
So, when choosing a pheromone, think about two major things:
- What do you want the pheromones to do for you?
- Which pheromones are best for the job?
When thinking about the best pheromone for the job, be sure to research multiple different pheromones, and learn about potential side effects! All of that information should factor into your choice. And remember: many people use different pheromones for different situations! You might want one pheromone type for date nights, and a totally different type for everyday wear. With all the options out there, you can have both!
Once you’ve chosen on a pheromone type (or types), the next step is choosing the right concentration. Let’s take a look!
2. FINDING THE RIGHT CONCENTRATION
As we said above, a pheromone’s concentration can impact how effective it is. Using the right amount of a pheromone like AndrosteNONE can make you dynamic, sexually appealing, and authoritative. Using too much, though, can make you intimidating, irritating, and agitating. So choosing the right amount of a pheromone to wear is as important as choosing a pheromone to begin with!
But how do you choose the right concentration for you?
Well, first, remember a key rule: “stronger” does not necessarily mean “better.” Many people only need a small amount of pheromones to see results, especially with naturally potent pheromones. So you won’t always need to go with the highest concentration available for your chosen pheromone.
There are a few other points to keep in mind, too. For example, younger people generally produce more pheromones than older people. So, if you’re very young, chances are that you’re producing more natural pheromones than someone many years older than you. You’ll probably need a lower concentration than you would if you were older.
Also, think about your natural personality. If you want something that will boost your sex appeal, but you already have a very outgoing and authoritative personality, keep in mind that many sexual pheromones will enhance the authoritative part of you, too. Too strong a concentration of a sex pheromone might make you go from authoritative to aggressive, so pay attention to those effects!
In general, it’s better to go with a product with a lower concentration, and then use an extra drop or spray if you need it. But if you’re sure you need something with a high concentration, or want to make diluted pheromone mixes, there are plenty of options available!
Now that you have all these factors in mind, let’s talk about choosing a specific product!
3. CHOOSING THE RIGHT PRODUCT
First things first: many pheromone products contain more than one individual pheromone. For example, New Pheromone Additive for Men contains three different pheromones. But some pheromone products, such as the Love Scent Pheromone Oils, contain only one pheromone. Read up on the product to see what pheromones it contains!
Choosing a pheromone product with multiple pheromones actually has many advantages. Say you want the benefits of AndrosteNONE but know it’s too strong for you. Going with something that pairs AndrosteNONE with counterbalancing social pheromones can have great results! Overall, multi-pheromone formulas tend to be more versatile and user-friendly.
Pay attention to a product’s pheromone concentration as well! If you decided that you need a low concentration, don’t just check the number of pheromones in the formula. Also check the overall concentration. A product containing four pheromones might have a lower concentration than a product that contains only one!
One final thing: choose whether you want something scented or unscented. Most pheromones need a cover scent to mask their natural pheromone odor. If you’re particular about your fragrances, you’ll want to choose an unscented pheromone. These have no added fragrance, so you can use your own with them! Scented pheromones have a fragrance already, and are ready to wear right out of the bottle, but can’t be mixed with additional fragrances.

Question..,
After wearing pheromones and getting the desired results, is there any research showing any downside, unwanted issues if tou take a break from said pheromones or just stop wearing complete?
Hi M! You should be able to stop using pheromones any time you like! If you’ve been benefiting from the positive self-effects, you may notice slight mood changes, but it shouldn’t take long to adjust.
