Back To Basics: Self-Effects Of Pheromones

Happy Friday, Love Scent fans!

Today, we’re going back to basics once again! This time, we’re looking at an aspect of pheromones you’ve heard us mention before: the self-effects of pheromones!

Now, many people use pheromones for their effects on others. You might wear them hoping to attract a new partner, or help your relationship with your current partner, or even to get ahead at work. Whatever your reasons, you’re wearing them so that other people will be affected by them, and change their behavior towards you.

The self-effects of pheromones work the same way as their effects on other people, with one big difference: you’re the one feeling those effects! How does that work? Let’s dive right in!

WHAT ARE THE SELF-EFFECTS OF PHEROMONES?

As we said above, the self-effects of pheromones are essentially the effects that the pheromones have on you. We’re not talking about pheromones that other people are wearing, here. It’s the pheromones you’re wearing, and those pheromones’ effects on you. The actual effects you’re feeling, of course, depend on the pheromone!

Sometimes, the self-effects of pheromones are the same as their effects on other people. AndrosteNOL, for example, can put you in a good mood and relax you, and it does the same thing to people who smell it on you. It makes no difference where the exposure is coming from. The effects are the same regardless!

Other times, the self-effects and effects on others are different, but not necessarily because the pheromone affects people differently. AndrosteNONE, for example, can make other people more attracted to you. It doesn’t make you attracted to yourself, though! You might feel its other effects, such as increased confidence, but not an attraction to yourself.

And finally, you have self-effects that only affect you, and not the people around you–or, at least, not the people you’re trying to attract! Copulins, for example, increase men’s testosterone levels, confidence, and interest in intimacy, and some men wear them for these effects. Straight women are not attracted to the smell of copulins, so the effects on the wearer and potential partner are not at all the same.

As you can see, the self-effects of pheromones work in different ways, and the effects are different depending on the pheromone. If you’re interested in experiencing self-effects, read up on the effects of pheromones, and whether those effects are on the wearer, other people, or both!

Okay, so those are some self-effects of pheromones. How do you make sure you’ll be able to feel them? Let’s talk about that next!

HOW CAN YOU FEEL THE SELF-EFFECTS OF PHEROMONES?

So, you’ve found a pheromone with good self-effects and you want to try it out. What’s the best way to wear pheromones to make sure you’ll experience the self-effects?

As you know, we typically recommend applying pheromones to the pulse points. Pulse points are any spot on your body where the veins run close to the skin. These points act as natural diffusers and push scent particles (including pheromones) into the air. The most commonly-recommended pulse points are the wrists and throat. Some people also use pulse points in the crook of the elbow, behind the ear, on the chest, and behind the knee.

To make the most of self-effects, though, not all pulse points work well. You want to maximize exposure, and you won’t be able to do that if you apply pheromones to, say, the back of your knee.

To make the most of pheromone self-effects, apply them as close to the nose as possible. The best spot is right below the nose, on the upper lip. Just a dab there, and a few deep breaths, will have you feeling the effects very quickly!

You can also put the pheromones on your neck and behind the ear. Some people also put them on their wrists and then lift their wrists to their noses throughout the day. Really, as long as you’re making sure that you’re able to smell the pheromones easily and regularly, it’s a good spot to help you feel the self-effects!

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF PHEROMONE SELF-EFFECTS?

So, is it worth it to get pheromones just for their self-effects? Or should you think of them as a great bonus on top of the “real” use of pheromones, which is their effect on other people?

The answer to this, of course, depends on the person. If you’re happy with the way things are for yourself, and just need pheromones that will affect other people, there’s no need to look much into self-effects. You can just be pleased with any happy surprises the self-effects give you! But if you need help with your own outlook on life, or your confidence, your romantic drive, or anything else, the self-effects of pheromones can be a valuable tool for you!

Let’s return to the pheromone examples from earlier. AndrosteNOL can put both you and those around you in a positive, relaxed mood. If you’re trying to get ahead at work, or trying to become more attractive to others, having a relaxed and upbeat personality can have huge benefits!

Likewise, the self-effects of AndrosteNONE are sometimes more beneficial than their effects on others. If you’re lacking confidence in your love life, a small amount of AndrosteNONE can help turn things around. It can give you the boost needed to put yourself out there, make the first move, and take control of your life!

Similarly, copulins can help men get the confidence and drive they need to improve their intimate relationships. Between raising their testosterone levels, boosting their interest in their partners, and improving their confidence, copulins can help men reconnect with their partners and reignite the spark of a long-term relationship.

In summary, sometimes self-effects are the more important benefit of pheromones. It depends on what your needs are, and what you want pheromones to do for you!

There you have it, Love Scent fans! We hope this has answered your questions about pheromone self-effects, and inspired you to start exploring this underrated benefit of pheromones!

  1. I have always been attracted to a man’s natural scent. Not all men of course but certain men, after they have worked and sweated all day and not showered if there is chemistry there I am intoxicated by their natural scent. Even if it’s strong or pungent and they feel dirty I am completely turned on by it and it drives me crazy sexually. I wonder what natural pheromone/s they are exuding that draws me so close. I am interested in using them for self and others benefit like the first two you mentioned. I have experimented with some products here but perhaps at the time I was just using it to attract my partner. Now I don’t have to do that so I may look into purchasing those that attract others but also have an effect on me. I could use some confidence and motivation.

    • Hi Christine! The most likely pheromones are AndrosteNONE and AndrostaDIENONE. Both of these can have an “intoxicating effect,” and AndrostaDIENONE in particular can make women think of men as more masculine and attractive. Both of these pheromone are found in the New Pheromone Additive for Men! Just be careful with AndrostaDIENONE, as it can have a depressive effect on some men.
