Now, on tot today’s topic: diluting pheromones!

At Love Scent, we offer a wide range of pheromone products: scented pheromone colognes and perfumes, unscented pheromone additives, and potent pheromone concentrates. Many of these pheromones can be worn right out of the bottle: Chikara Pheromone Cologne for Men, the Love Scent Pheromone Oils, and Liquid Trust, for example, don’t need to be diluted or combined with additional cover fragrance. Others, such as New Pheromone Additive, can be applied right to the pulse points by the drop or spray and require only the addition of your favorite perfume or cologne.

Some pheromones, on the other hand, require dilution to work their best; others might work right out of the bottle for some people, but require dilution for other people. So let’s take a look at these types of products, and learn the ins and outs of properly diluting pheromones!

WHY DILUTE PHEROMONES?

Diluting pheromones might seem counter-intuitive to you. Why buy a strong pheromone only to reduce its potency? Won’t that make the pheromone less effective?

Well, as we’ve discussed before, stronger does not always mean better when it comes to pheromones. If you naturally produce a lot of pheromones already, adding more pheromones (especially sex pheromones) can give other people the impression that you’re aggressive, uncooperative, overdominant, or generally unpleasant–not exactly the impression you’d like to give anyone! Even people with average natural pheromone levels can overdose on pheromones if they choose too strong a product.

This doesn’t mean, of course, that strong sex pheromones are always a bad thing: when used in the right doses, they can give you a confident, dependable, sexy aura that many people will find hard to resist. The trick is finding the right amount for you, and sometimes a product is too strong even at the smallest possible dose out of the bottle. A single drop of Alpha-7 Unscented, for example, could lead to a pheromone overdose for some people, in which case you would need to dilute the pheromones to get them down to a lower and more useful concentration.

Other products are designed from the beginning to be diluted. Our pure pheromones, for example, are meant to be diluted in additional carrier liquid (such as a body oil or your favorite fragrance) in your own custom DIY pheromone mix. Another example is our Love Scent Copulin Concentrate, which is an extremely potent formula with an intense natural odor; it should be heavily diluted in your favorite fragrance before you wear it.

So, there are two main reasons to dilute pheromones: one, if a particular formula is too strong for your personally, you can dilute it to improve its success rate; and two, if a product is a potent concentrate that was designed to be diluted, you should always make sure you dilute it properly if you want it to work for you.

You might be wondering: if some products require dilution after you buy them, why not just go with a less-intense product to begin with? That’s a good question–and many people do choose to go with products with a lower concentration rather than go through the process of diluting a stronger product. The main advantage to a stronger product is that it will last you longer, and often costs less per mg of pheromones. A single bottle of one of our pure pheromones, for example, can help you make DIY pheromone mixes for many years, and costs less per mg of pheromones than many less-concentrated products.

So how do you go about diluting pheromones? Read on to find out!

HOW DO YOU DILUTE PHEROMONES?

Diluting pheromones is actually a fairly straightforward process. All you’re doing is blending a given amount of the pheromone in a larger amount of carrier fluid, which reduces the overall amount of pheromones per drop and thus reduces the overdose risk.

You can dilute the pheromones in a pheromone-free cover fragrance, your favorite body lotion, an aromatherapy essential oil blend, or a scented pheromone product that contains different pheromones than those found in the product you are trying to dilute–for example, you can dilute pure AndrosteNONE in the Love Scent Pheromone Oils, which contain AndrosteNOL.

The level of dilution you need depends on the product, and your personal pheromone needs. If the product in question is highly concentrated, or if you naturally produce a higher amount of pheromones, you should dilute a product more heavily.

The most important, and most time-consuming, part of diluting pheromones is experimenting with different dilution levels. For example, you might dilute 1 drop of Alpha-7 Unscented in 1 ml of your favorite cologne and then wear it on a date. If the effects are not as strong as you wanted, you can try 2 drops in 1 ml of your favorite cologne and wear that concentration on your next date. If that’s too strong, you’ll need to adjust the dilution again. The correct dilution for you will depend on your body chemistry, the responses of those around you, and a few other factors.

Another thing to pay attention to when diluting a potent pheromone is the smell. Some products, like the Love Scent Copulin Concentrate, have an intense odor that most people find unpleasant. You’ll want to mask that natural smell (which, remember, will not reduce the effectiveness of the pheromones) to make the pheromones more effective. The idea is to draw people in, not chase them away! Dilute it until the unpleasant odor is sufficiently masked, and then start experimenting to determine the best concentration for you personally.

If you need some guidance for how to properly experiment with pheromones, you can find plenty of advice here!

Now that you know the basics of diluting pheromones, let’s look at the basic supplies you’ll need to get started!

WHAT SUPPLIES WILL YOU NEED?

You don’t need much specialized equipment to dilute pheromones. Here’s what you do need:

  • Pheromones (of course!)
  • A carrier base (such as an essential oil blend, pheromone-free fragrance, body lotion or cream, or a scented pheromone that does not contain the same pheromones found in the product you are diluting)
  • A pipette, eyedropper, or syringe (if you want exact measurements; you can find these at most pharmacies or supermarkets)
  • A container for your mix (such as an atomizer for thin formulas, a roll-on for thick oil-based formulas, or a pump bottle for lotions and creams)

So, for example, if you want to dilute Alpha-7 Unscented into your favorite alcohol-based cologne, you’ll need:

  • Alpha-7 Unscented
  • Your favorite cologne
  • An eyedropper
  • An atomizer

Use the eyedropper to add 1 ml of your favorite cologne to the atomizer, add a drop of Alpha-7 Unscented, close the atomizer, and shake it all up. Then apply a spray or two to your pulse points and get to experimenting!

With just a few simple supplies, found either right here at Love Scent or at a local pharmacy or supermarket, you can easily dilute your potent pheromones to the exact concentration you need to see the best effects for you. It’s a great way to make sure you’re getting the most out of your favorite pheromones.

There you have it, Love Scent fans! Everything you need to know about diluting pheromones. This is a useful skill for anyone interested in pheromones, so we hope you give it a try!

  1. Can regular water be used to dilute Pheromones?

    • Good question! We actually do not recommend regular water for diluting pheromones. Even distilled water does not work well for most products. The pheromones will re-crystallize and their effectiveness will decrease dramatically.

Instead of water, we recommend colognes and perfumes, aromatherapy blends, body lotions or butters, skin-safe oils (including cooking oils like coconut, or popular moisturizing oils like jojoba), massage oils, or cosmetics ingredients like cosmetics oils (including DPG) and perfumer’s alcohol.
